Job Summary & Key Responsibilities

As a DevOps Engineer you will contribute in supporting all aspects of MercuryGate’s SaaS Operations.  All DevOps members influence, create, and contribute to our automation platform.  In this role we’re looking for someone who will leverage their experience with software delivery at scale in a SaaS enterprise existing in both private and public clouds (AWS, etc.).    This position will programmatically help drive change and develop best practices from end-to-end: Infrastructure design, build out, automation, documentation, monitoring and support.  The person filling this role must also have a demonstrated history and passion for mentoring and teaching others.

Job Qualifications & Other Requirements

  • 4+ years experience in delivering reliable cloud based distributed systems
  • Expert level RedHat Enterprise experience specifically with versions 6 & 7
  • Extensive experience with the Python programming language
  • Extensive experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration platforms (OpenShift/Origin, etc.)
  • Networking expertise, including but not limited to DNS, Load Balancing technologies, NAT & VPN
  • Networking diagnostic expertise, including but not limited to tools such as Wireshark and tcpdump 
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Experience with the configuration automation tool Ansible 
  • Experience working with the ELK stack (ElasticSearch Logstash Kibana) 
  • Hands-on experience with Continuous Integration tools such as Jenkins,Test Automation and Release Management
