Job Summary & Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Linux Administrator you will contribute in supporting all aspects of MercuryGate’s SaaS Operations.  All system administrators influence, create, and contribute to our automation platform.  In this role we’re looking for someone who will leverage their experience with software delivery at scale in a SaaS enterprise existing in both private and public clouds (AWS, etc.).    This position will programmatically help drive change and develop best practices from end-to-end: Infrastructure design, build out, automation, documentation, monitoring and support.  The person filling this role must also have a demonstrated history and passion for mentoring and teaching others.

Job Qualifications & Other Requirements

  • 4+ years experience in delivering reliable cloud based distributed systems on top of Red Hat Enterprise Linux OS
  • Expert level RedHat Enterprise experience specifically with versions 6 & 7
  • Expert level networking expertise including but not limited to DNS, Load Balancing technologies, NAT & VPN
  • Expert level network diagnostic expertise, including but not limited to tools such as Wireshark and tcpdump
  • Expert level patching RHEL servers at scale
  • Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration platforms (OpenShift/Origin, etc.)
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Experience with the configuration automation toolAnsible
  • Experience working with the ELK stack (ElasticSearch Logstash Kibana)
  • Hands-on experience with Continuous Integration tools such as Jenkins,Test Automation and Release Management
  • Support your team's technologies as and when required on a 24x7 basis
  • Mentor, teach, and share knowledge with other Engineering team members
