    Job Summary & Key Responsibilities

    We are currently seeking a Mid-Level Linux system administrator to join our Transportation Management Software (TMS) Engineering/Operations Team. The Systems Administrator will be part of a team that manages all production, QA, development and Disaster Recovery environments within MercuryGate's Software as a Service (SaaS) hosting enterprise.

    Job Qualifications & Other Requirements

    • 3+ years of professional Systems Administration experience in a Linux environment (RHEL, CentOS)
    • Experience supporting a high traffic and highly available Linux production environment
    • Experience working with virtualization technologies
    • Ability to install, configure and tune Apache Tomcat web servers
    • Experience supporting Java based applications such as Tomcat, Spring Boot, Apache Ignite, etc.
    • Strong eye for automation
    • Strong Python programming experience
    • Software configuration management experience with Ansible, Puppet or Chef (Ansible preferred)
    • Experience with monitoring technologies like Nagios, Cacti, New Relic, LogicMonitor, etc.
    • Version control system experience with Git, SVN, Perforce, etc. (Git preferred)
    • Load Balancing solutions (NGINX, HAProxy)
    • Experience with message-oriented middleware such as RabbitMQ
    • Experience with log correlation using the ELK stack
    • Experience with container technology (Docker preferred)
    • Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes preferred)
