    Job Summary & Key Responsibilities

    Reporting to the Sr. Director of Implementation Services FF/International/Shipper, this resource will manage and develop a vertical in a defined industry or geography.  Responsible for the success of the vertical as defined by financial metrics (revenue, project margins, collections, team utilization and profitability), customer satisfaction (project status, customer satisfaction survey, value created), team development, and innovation (such as innovative service packages) to support the practice.  Additionally, this resource will work with the Sr. Director to determine the strategic vision of the organization and all the functions within the business unit.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Influences and develops vertical strategy
    • Develops strategic relationships with new and repeat business customers and partners, supporting the sales cycle at a strategic level
    • Proactively manages one or more profit centers and improves financial metrics, including utilization, revenue and margin.
    • Contributes actively to the senior management team within Delivery, working closely with the Sr. Director to develop the Delivery business and implement working vertical improvements
    • Develops strong proactive relationships with peers in other MercuryGate functions and businesses to improve cross-functional working and the continued development of the Company culture and vision
    • Acts as an ambassador for MercuryGate, its values, vision and services, promoting MercuryGate as a supplier, partner and employer of choice
    • Controls a team of Senior Project Managers/Sr. Implementation Specialists/Solution Architects depending on the range and nature of the project portfolio
    • Works closely with Sr. Director to ensure success of strategic customer projects
    • Actively reviews and manages performance to motivate and develop the highly skilled workforce
    • Acts as a coach and mentor to team
    • Ensures compliance with internal and external company policies and procedures

    Job Qualifications & Other Requirements

    • Strong academic background with evidence of continuous professional development either at business specific or leadership level
    • Proven experience of managing P&L and services budgets to optimize business development and growth
    • Strong communicator, able to influence and collaborate at all levels to maximize problem resolution
    • Good people management skills with proven leadership ability, able to lead and motivate teams of people to achieve business and personal goals
    • Proven change management skills
    • Strong commercial acumen and entrepreneurial skills with evidence of developing and maintaining business to the benefit of the organization
    • Excellent customer relationship management skills with evidence of prior successful client relationships
    • Minimum of 2 years of management expertise, either at a technical or functional level
    • In-depth knowledge of industry sector, proven track record in IT industry at a management level
    • Must be able to travel extensively (50% minimum)
